Psalm 5:3 “My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.”
— Monthly Arizona Chaplain Corps meeting: Ellie Towne Flowing Wells Community Center, monthly on the fourth Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm.
1660 West Ruthrauff Rd 85705. We do need to be out of the building at 7:45; encourage one another to continue our conversations in the parking lot.
— At the April ACC meeting, we learned a safety tip: “What drowning looks like” Please take the time to follow this link to the informative article that teaches us that drowning does not look like it does in Hollywood and how to notice an actual drowning.
— We opened a conversation on April 24, at the meeting, about praying for those we meet while serving in the community. Tom and Celina Martinez will be sharing practical tips each month, based on their training and experience working in the Victory Worship Center Healing Rooms. TIP 1) Pray with your eyes open. This simple change will enable you to both see your surroundings as well as the person whom you are praying for. You can see their reactions to what you say and be able to adjust your actions if they begin to manifest negatively.
— Thank you to William and Elaynia Parker for showing up to the Tucson House April birthday party on April 25. This is a standing invitation to meet residents and chat with them on the fourth Friday of each month. It will be 2-4, unless otherwise indicated.

—GAP Ministries will be providing a service to the Flowing Wells School District this summer. They are excited to invite each of you to connect with the community in this area! At three schools, they will be serving meals to the children who may otherwise not be eating the breakfast and lunch that is usually provided at their school while school is in session. ANY time from 7-1 at any of the locations will be SO HELPFUL to these neighborhoods. What would you be doing? Just show up and make conversation! When the food arrives, help serve the families, and continue to chat with them. We will provide index cards, on which the family can write down their name, address, phone number, and specific tangible and/or prayer needs. GAP will then collect the cards and work to continue to assist these families. You can also continue relationship with them as well. Part of the goal in this summer outreach is to meet and connect with LOCAL RESIDENTS to GAP and other resources so that they can be a CONTINUAL CONTACT for these families throughout the year. Please contact Elaynia Parker at (520)312-6123 for sign-up and any questions.
